Ben Anderson was born and raised in the Philippines as the son of founding TCM missionaries Vernon & Darlene Anderson. In 1978, he returned to the United States where he went to college and joined TCM in October 1984.
Joyce grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. Her father, the late Cliff Kinkead, was the pastor of the Grace church. In 1986 Ben and Joyce met at the Grace church. They married and traveled to Kenya the same year.
Ben & Joyce pioneered the TCM work in Kenya, seeing it grow to 40 churches, a Bible school, spiritual Kenyan leaders and a national church planting movement called Project 2010. Their three daughters, Tegwen, Frances and Jaclyn were born in Nairobi. The Andersons lived in Kenya for 18 years before being called to the directorship of TCM. In 2015 as part of a leadership restructuring, Ben became the International Director.
