PRAYER & MISSION

“The history of missions is the history of answered prayer.”― Samuel Zwemer

Last night, I led the prayer meeting in City Central Church and we talked about the importance of prayers in missions. It is my hope that my Cambodian brothers and sisters get this–prayers fuel missions. I thank the Lord for all of you because you are with me in this journey. Every prayer you prayed, every dollar you sent to missions, every effort you did for me and for missionaries and workers around the world are valuable and greatly appreciated.
I am grateful that the Lord has been blessing us here in many ways. I am so thankful for the  many answered prayers such as:

  • The few men and women in our group have been helpful to our church activities. Men are starting to preach, women are starting to teach in home groups and lead in worship service on Sundays and other meetings.
  • We finished the first course on Evangelism in the church. Six of them received their certificates with gladness. A few of them have invited their friends and office mates over to our church for meals and fellowship. Others have gently shared their faith in their work place and family members.
  • I am having online counseling with someone who is struggling emotionally. I will have two more to counsel in the coming weeks. This is a privilege to walk with these people in their journey to healing. I am humbled to walk with people who need listening ears and understanding hearts.
  • I am invited to be a part of TCM’s Member Care team recently.  As what a famous singer said, ” We take care of our own”. My desire is to see missionaries stay effective and long.
Yes, LONGEVITY is needed!  I am hoping for others to be on board with this new ministry. So, if you are looking for ways to serve your missionaries and help them in other areas, please partner with us. Let me know if you are interested and I am willing to share with you how you can  partner with us.
  • My sister is here! Yes, Ken is just resting for a couple of weeks while also waiting for a job offer. It is refreshing to have a family member visiting me. So far we have so much fun! Family is a blessing.

I have been meeting a few ladies, all young professionals and Buddhists. One of those ladies is Sreyleak. She is a manager of a hostel in the city. I meet with her regularly and have shared a bit about God. Pray for open hearts and mind. Pray opportunities to share the gospel with her.

Thanks for your prayers and for your faithfulness.
