Kilgo Update–April 2021

Southeast Asia

Greetings dear ones in the faith,

Thank you so much for your sacrifices unto the Lord.  Thank you for all you do for Him.  May He be glorified in all that we do, say, and think (Phil 4:8).

We rejoice with you in giving thanks for our Savior Jesus Christ’s resurrection from the dead!  We are thankful that He sees fit for us to serve Him in Southeast Asia.  You are our loyal partners, so we always want to keep you informed of all the wonderful things that He is doing here.

We have been able to meet face-to-face now for many Sunday services, praise God.  Everyone seems to be very grateful that our church is meeting in person because we are running at full capacity, praise God.  We held our first Good Friday service, and a few of our members brought their unsaved friends along.  It was very fulfilling sharing Christ with a mother and her son- please pray for them.  They attended our Easter service as well.

Our Bible school has just completed its second course, and we are opening enrollment for new students for this summer.  Please pray for our instructors and for our seventeen students.  Thank you for praying for the instructor who was feeling ill.  He seems to be doing much better, praise God!

On a personal note, pray for us as we begin making plans to travel to the States.  Much work is involved in securing travel documents, negative Covid tests, and other necessary things that is involved in international travel.  We are truly thankful that we can do it. Some of our friends are not able to travel out of the country and they are having a hard time.  We certainly do not take it for granted.

Also, in the fall we are anticipating in beginning a new video series to reach out to Chinese people with the Gospel.  Please pray for this new ministry as we will need lots of experienced assistance.  We would like to restart the English class outreach as well.

Finally, we would like to encourage you with one of our favorite passages…

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit…For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit” (Romans 8:1, 5).

Let’s all agree to focus our minds and hearts on the “the things of the Spirit” (Rom 8:5).  May He be glorified!  God bless you!

In His Service,

Pat & Michelle and family
