Southeast Asia

Hello from Southeast Asia!

Greetings to you in the grace of our Lord!  We thank God for you, and we hope you are doing well.  Thank you for your ongoing support of our ministries.

In our neck of the woods, our country has maintained a strict adherence to preventing the COVID-19.  In fact, our international borders have been closed since mid-March, and they will continue to be closed for the remainder of the year.  As a result, our second ministry center will be put on hold until the Sanders can arrive.  Please continue to pray for them.

Despite these unusual times, we can report that there have been many positive aspects to the changes in how we have run the ministries.  For instance, Michelle was able to teach two separate online Bible studies for several months, praise God.  Pat was able to preach his sermons online as well.

We know of at least three Chinese women who have trusted the Lord as their Savior during these challenging times, praise God!  Please continue to pray for Anita, Shirley, and Anna, and pray for their families.  Since you are a vital part of this ministry, it is your blessing as well!  Thank you!

Additionally, plans are in the making to start a Bible school, Lord willing, in 2021.  A Bible school has been on our heart for several years.  To instruct believers in righteousness, we need to equip them with the Word rightly divided (2 Tim 2:2, 15).  We ask for your prayers that our Lord will provide us with committed teachers and students.  We believe that God is faithful and that He will supply all our needs for His glory (Phil 4:19).

“I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved” (Psalm 16:8 NKJV).

May this newsletter be an encouragement to you and may the Lord bless you!

P.S. Attached are recent pictures of our Sunday school classes.  The children are doing a great job adjusting to the new strict social distancing rules.

In His service,

Pat & Michelle and family
