NORTHWEST USA MISSION CONFERENCES

NOVEMBER 2018

What a blessing and a joy the past 2 months have been! I’m thrilled to be back in the US, not only because it’s great to reconnect with old friends and make new ones, but because it is so exciting to share what God has been doing in Cambodia over the past decade and more recently in the last 3 years!

Above is a photo of the missionary team I have been travelling with from two different missionary organisations; Grace Ministries International and Things to Come Mission. As well as a former GMI couple who are now re-entering the African field through Wycliff Bible Translators. (From Left: Sheba & Dean Padayhag, Jerry & Sandi Bomers, Ronnie & Jaque Makensen, Me with the Bomers & Padayhag’s children, Karen & Fred Vinton; The Wikary’s).

Pictured with our group on the far right, is Jay & Laura Wikary from Friendship, WI. This couple are keen evangelists, enthusiastic about missions, take trips to South East Asia on mission excursions to show missionaries love and support and to meet the local people that we minister too, and yep, they’re an ordinary Chrisitian couple serving an extra ordinary Jesus and it shows! I love their example and have been so blessed by their driving me for days across America and around! We have had great adventures asscending mountians from sunshine to snow in a day, finding bears and other beasts and sharing with people we met along the way about the Lord. Being with these dear friends meant I did not need to worry about a thing, they have taken care of my every need, and I did not stop laughing or rejoycing! It’s good to be reminded that as Christians, we are called to serve wherever God has us. Be bold, be a blessing!

My time here in the USA has been another great testiment to the hospitality, love and support of those in the Body of Christ at the churches and in the homes, I can’t thank you all enough… and the journey continues! You are all much appreciated and are valued members of this Body -1 Corinthians 12:27!

On behalf of Team Cambodia missionaries and all the Khmer people who are impacted as a result of your partnership, sincere thanks and prayers of appreciation reaching more generations! Let’s run this race with passion!

“The LORD delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love.” ~Psalm 17:11~

Julia scenery

Captivated by God’s Creation! “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis 1:1 -People need to know Who to thank! I was overwhelmed at the views in Yellowstone National Park, the Tetons and the Redwoods!

Julia Youth Group

I have really enjoyed sharing with all age groups and was particularly blessed at a church in Grants Pass, OR. When sharing with a youth group, 2 young ladies (holding my hands, central) accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior!

Meanwhile back in Cambodia, I hear things are doing well and there are developments in the ministry. We had the 1st year anniversary of our second church plant at Pastor Rathy’s home on the boarder of Phnom Penh.

There have been many visitors to the village where Pastor Ariel & Faith serve, which has been an encouragement to them (but please pray for their health as they have both had struggles).

At the city center church, we have seen two of our Khmer brothers preach for the first time, with yet brother preaching this month! Keep these men (potential leaders) in your prayers; Simon, Ratany & Borey. I also hear the women have led some of our Bible studies and prayer times too. Praise God!

PRAYER REQUESTS

For the ministries to flourish in Cambodia
Myra’s travel to Malaysia to give a seminar this month
Visa renewal for James & Agape
The health of Pastor Ariel & Faith
Remember Sister Sophal as she has more health complications

Pray for me as I continue to travel and share and meet whom I can in the USA.
It is hard to be away from the ministry, focus on here and hold my excitement for flying to the UK to spend Christmas with my family!

The Lord is good and faithful, in Him I know I can trust and find my joy always. God bless you all as you serve others that the Lord brings your way.

Love,

Julia
